Future leaders in agriculture encouraged to apply for prestigious award
NATIONAL real estate agency and advisory firm LAWD is encouraging future leaders in Australia’s agriculture sector to apply for the prestigious Zanda McDonald Award.
As an ongoing sponsor of the program, LAWD recognises the tremendous benefit it plays in helping to support the next generation of industry leaders.
With applications now open for the 2025 Award, LAWD Senior Director, Col Medway encouraged suitable candidates to take the time to apply.
“Across our business we are privileged to meet a diverse range of young people creating change within the agriculture industry and propelling the sector forward, while making an impact in their rural communities.” Mr Medway said.
“If you’re one of these talented people and are interested in further developing your career in agriculture, we would encourage you to take the time to invest in yourself, and your future, by submitting an application.
“This is a fantastic program, which provides access to the expertise and experience of prominent agribusiness leaders. We’ve seen a number of previous award recipients take their career to great heights and they all consistently say how invaluable the mentoring and networking with industry has been to their growth.”
To be eligible for the award, applicants must be between the ages of 21 and 35, working in the agribusiness sector, and passionate about making a difference in agriculture.
As a staunch advocate for Australian agriculture, Mr Medway said LAWD was proud to continue its ongoing support of the Zanda McDonald Award.
“Agriculture is one of the core foundations of our business, and we are committed to supporting the young people who are driving change and making real impact,” he said.
“We recognise the value this program brings and are looking forward to seeing the calibre of the finalists when they are announced later this year.”
