One of Australia’s most respected property professionals, Geoffrey Brown, has joined national real estate and advisory firm LAWD as a shareholder and member of the executive leadership team, to spearhead its new Specialist Property Valuations business unit.

Mr Brown has more than 25 years’ involvement in the valuation of diverse real estate assets including agribusiness, rural, commercial, industrial and residential property.

He is also considered one of Australia’s pre-eminent specialist valuers of childcare, educational and medical facilities, and has extensive experience in compulsory acquisition work and litigation matters.

In addition to holding a Bachelor of Business majoring in Property, Mr Brown has been awarded the Advanced Certificate in Real Estate and is a Fellow of the Australian Property Institute, a Certified Practising Valuer and Licensed Estate Agent.

LAWD Chief Executive Officer, Enda Foley, said Mr Brown’s appointment represented the next phase of LAWD’s evolution as one of Australia’s foremost real estate businesses.

The appointment of Mr Brown comes following LAWD’s recent expansion of its services across professional services, industrial real estate and metropolitan development, to complement and broaden its foundations in agribusiness, regional residential and peri-urban development.

Mr Brown said he would be particularly focused on developing the depth and capability of the Specialist Property Valuations unit.

“I have broad experience in childcare assets, litigation and acquisition and am looking forward to growing these elements of LAWD’s services, along with rental determinations and the valuation of hospitality and medical assets,” Mr Brown said.
