LAWD announces appointment of Enda Foley as CEO

LEADING national real estate and advisory firm LAWD has today announced the appointment of Enda Foley to the position of Chief Executive Officer as the company continues to expand and elevate its services to Australia’s property sectors.

LAWD Senior Director, Tim McKinnon, said Mr Foley will come to the business in mid-August with an outstanding track record of leadership including 14 years at CBRE in a variety of senior finance and operational positions, the most recent of which was Global Chief Financial Officer for the Global Workplace Solutions division.

“Enda has an exceptional background in the real estate industry and will bring key expertise and experience to support LAWD as it takes its next step as a best-in-class professional property firm for our clients and our team,” Mr McKinnon said.

“He also has a demonstrated ability to successfully develop and grow newly formed service lines within a wider organisation which, as we seek to expand the LAWD offering, will be instrumental to our growth and the spectrum of services we deliver.”

Since its establishment, LAWD has overseen more than $3 billion in transactions and completed the valuation of more than $10 billion of property across the nation.

Standout agriculture transactions have included the sale of the Corinella Group Portfolio of 50 cropping properties in western Victoria and south-eastern South Australia for $370 million and the Woorndoo aggregation in Victoria’s renowned Western District for $70 million. The sale of Macquarie Agriculture’s 100,000ha Lawson Grains, one of the largest farmland deals of 2021, was also overseen by LAWD at greater than $550 million, as was the transaction of historic Riverina district holding, Tubbo Station, for $43 million.

In development land, LAWD oversaw the sale of Clyde Town Centre, in outer southeast Melbourne, for $67.65million, and the Major Melbourne Development Site Portfolio, on behalf of the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne.

LAWD Senior Director, Development Transactions and Advisory, Peter Sagar, said LAWD would continue to prioritise innovation across each of its divisions to position the firm as the best of its type in Australia.

“From day one, our focus has been on delivering the best results for our clients by merging our many years of collective experience with an innovative approach to how we do business, leveraging the broad skillset we have spread across offices in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth,” Mr Sagar said.

“The appointment of Enda, our rapidly growing team and expanding geographic presence means we are ideally placed to best serve Australia’s property sectors, and we are motivated to continue to grow and operate as one of the largest and most effective firms of our type in the country.”
