LAWD grows NSW presence with new Sydney office

National real estate agency and advisory firm Land, Agribusiness, Water & Development (LAWD) has today announced the launch of its Sydney office and two new key appointments, to further grow the strong presence it has built in New South Wales.

Led by an experienced and highly regarded senior team from the farm and property sectors, LAWD has offered specialist transaction, advisory and valuations services to the agriculture and land development industries since its inception in 2020. Today’s announcement extends its growing national presence to include Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, as well as other regional centres.

LAWD Senior Director and respected rural real estate agent, Col Medway, who is based in NSW and has been a key driver of the growth of the firm’s state and national presence, said the widespread return to office spaces and growing business requirements meant the time was right to secure a physical office in Sydney.

“This office will provide a NSW headquarters to accommodate the growing team of property professionals we are building as we continue to see exceptional demand for both agriculture and development assets, and the resulting need for transaction, valuation and advisory services,” Mr Medway said.

“Our growth over the past two years has been notable and, while we already provide our services nationally, we are firmly focused on also developing our office network across the country.”

Key Appointments

Highly experienced real estate agent and property valuer, Andrew Graham, and valuer, Sam Julian, will join the LAWD team in Sydney as the first in a series of new key appointments.

Mr Graham has spent more than 30 years working across a range of asset classes in metropolitan NSW and major regional centres, and acts as an Associate and NSW Divisional Council Member of the Australian Property Institute (API).

Mr Medway said Mr Graham had a proven track record in transactions and advisory services, and had achieved significant results for both residential and commercial development clients, including in healthcare and government.

“Bringing extensive property experience as both a property valuer and real estate agent, Andrew has provided advice on matters including development sites, acquisition and strategic transaction management and due diligence, and has regularly advised government departments on key infrastructure projects,” Mr Medway said.

“He also brings extensive experience in a variety of transaction models and, since 2015, has been involved in more than $2 billion worth of deals.”

Mr Graham said he was looking forward to helping to build LAWD’s Sydney presence and working in a company that had so swiftly forged itself as leader in the property sector.

“I am excited to join this high-calibre, rapidly expanding business and to aligning my technical experience and networks with LAWD’s leadership in delivering unparalleled transaction, valuation and advisory services to clients,” Mr Graham said.

“I look forward to assisting with the expansion of LAWD’s business, specifically in urban and regional site redevelopments and investment transactions.”

Mr Graham is joined by Mr Julian, who has more than seven years’ experience working in large valuations firms in the agriculture sector and across a variety of rural property types including high rainfall grazing, equine properties, irrigation and dryland cropping, horticulture, vineyards, dairy and poultry.

As an Associate of the API, Sam will primarily undertake valuations in the rural regions of NSW, including the Southern Tablelands, Central Tablelands, Riverina, New England and Northern Tablelands, Hunter Region and Western Division.
