LAWD supports Humans of Agriculture’s goal of sharing 10,000 stories from the land

National real estate and advisory firm LAWD is delighted to announce the renewal of its partnership with popular podcast, Humans of Agriculture (HoA), as part of its commitment to support and celebrate Australia’s prosperous rural and agricultural communities.

HoA Founder, Oli Le Lievre, created the platform in 2019 with an ambition to share the stories of 10,000 people who were connected to agriculture as a way to explore and showcase Australia’s food system.

LAWD was the first company to partner with the podcast in April 2021, and Mr Le Lievre said he was enthused to be supported by an organisation with the same focus on promoting the food and fibre sectors and its people.

“I started Humans of Agriculture out of genuine curiosity to discover more about the importance and happenings of the industry, from the people involved in it. Through storytelling, we create connections with the broader community and build trusting relationships with them,” Mr Le Lievre said.

“LAWD was the first business to recognise the importance of what we were trying to achieve and to come on board to support our promotion of the industry.”

HoA has published 134 podcasts and shared the stories of more than 300 people across its digital platforms. The podcast places a strong focus on sustainable food and fibre value chains and features industry leaders, such as LAWD Senior Director of Valuations, Tim McKinnon, CPC CEO, Troy Setter, and Palgrove’s Prue Bondfield, as well as characters like professional rugby player, Ned Hannigan.

Mr Le Lievre hoped the stories would also act as an industry-wide recruitment tool to assist in addressing the labour shortage challenges faced by Australian agribusinesses.

“It is crucial to showcase the amazing and varied opportunities available to work in food and fibre production, as well as professional services, to assist with attracting high-quality people into the industry to underpin its sustainable growth,” Mr Le Lievre said.

With a dedicated audience of 15,000 listeners per month, LAWD Senior Director Col Medway said the company was proud to support the HoA initiative as it continued to showcase the people behind Australia’s thriving agriculture sector.

“LAWD is a proud member of Australia’s rural and agriculture industries and we’re committed to continually finding ways to partner with organisations that support those communities,” Mr Medway said.

“We’re delighted to be able to align with Humans of Agriculture, which we believe does an outstanding job of promoting and celebrating this remarkable industry.”

As part of the partnership, HoA will profile agents and valuers from LAWD’s national team, which has grown to more than 50 staff since its establishment in March 2020. Mr Le Lievre will also be recording ‘deep dives’ with LAWD leaders to share quarterly property and agriculture market insights.
