We extend our warmest congratulations to the winners of the prestigious Zanda McDonald Award for Australia and New Zealand, Tessa Chartres and Nancy Crawshaw.

Established in 2014, the Award honours the legacy of Zanda McDonald, who was an inspiring and respected identity in the beef and livestock sector and recognises and supports exceptional young professionals in agriculture.

Based in Deniliquin NSW, Tessa is the General Manager of Business Development at Murray Irrigation where she is responsible for the delivery of Commonwealth funded projects, Water Policy, ICT transformation and commercial business contracts.

New Zealander Nancy is an Extension Officer for Angus Australia where she utilises her knowledge of the beef supply chain to facilitate engaging field days, youth programs and workshops for primary producers which adds value to their businesses.

LAWD Senior Director, Col Medway, a member of the judging panel, expressed the firm’s pride in supporting young people who are creating change within the agriculture sector.
