Sam Hopkins’ upbringing on a beef cattle property in South-West Queensland, sparked his interest in a career in rural property and provided an excellent foundation for his enthusiasm in the agriculture industry.

Sam Hopkins is an Associate Director in LAWD’s Valuation team and brings four years of experience working in agricultural property valuation. Sam’s upbringing on a beef cattle property in South-West Queensland, sparked his interest in a career in rural property and provided an excellent foundation for his enthusiasm in the agriculture industry.
He brings extensive on-farm knowledge to his role, having spent the past twelve months on sabbatical broadening his experience working on several stations in North-West Queensland, along with his family property in Taroom, Queensland where he now resides.
Sam travels extensively throughout the Central and Southern Queensland, while also working further afield throughout Australia. He is committed to the agricultural industry and delivers clarity to clients through his excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
Throughout his career, Sam has gained experience in the valuation of numerous agribusiness holdings with a particular focus on grazing properties and irrigated/dryland cropping assets. Sam is experienced in undertaking Mortgage Security Valuations and Financial Reporting Valuations, as well as providing pre-purchase/pre-sale due diligence advice.

  • Associate of the Australian Property Institute (AAPI)
  • Certified Practicing Valuer
  • Bachelor of Property – Central Queensland University
